Kiwanis International

The Kiwanis Club of Clovis, California is a participating member of Kiwanis International, an world-wide service organization of community volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Globally, there are over 600,000 Kiwanians volunteering in nearly 100 countries.

The Kiwanis Cub of Clovis is a part of Division 5 (California-Nevada-Hawai’i District), which covers the Kiwanis clubs of Fresno and Madera Counties in Central California.
 

In existence for almost 45 years, the club's membership represents a wide range of occupations, both professional and skilled, working and retired. Members reside both within and outside the city limits of Clovis.

It was a new era and a new tradition was about to begin...
 

By the early 1970s, the people of Clovis had reason to be very proud. Public safety and high-quality education were a way of life, and the neighboring cities started to take notice. Young families from neighboring communities began moving into Clovis and the community started growing at a record pace. No longer a small town, Clovis was on the brink of becoming a major influence on the entire region.
 

In the summer of 1975, a small group of successful businessmen and community leaders wanted to form an organization to help give back to the community which had provided so much to each of them.  the Kiwanis Club of Clovis was born.

Today, the club of Clovis maintains a membership of 50 with several of the early members still active in helping to maintain the Clovis Way of Life.
